Our Story
TAUPOU SAMOA LLC has proudly stood alongside the Samoan and Pacific Islander communities of San Diego since 1990, dedicating our efforts to cultural preservation, connection, and empowerment. Today, after 30 years of meaningful service, we are honored to step into a new chapter: the establishment of TAUPOU SAMOA CULTURAL ARTS (501(c)(3)).

This new venture is more than just an expansion; it is a profound commitment to deepening our service and stewardship. We envision TAUPOU SAMOA CULTURAL ARTS as a beacon of cultural enrichment, dedicated to uplifting the voices and needs of our Samoan and Pacific Islander community in San Diego and throughout Southern California. Through this nonprofit, we seek to bridge the gaps that exist, reduce disparities, and foster an environment where our traditions, stories, and shared experiences flourish.

Community is the heart of our mission. It is built on the understanding that true strength comes when we come together, share our journeys, and support each other in purpose and spirit. As we move forward, we embrace the belief that “Community is what WE create together.”

Let us join hands, nurture our roots, and strive for a future where Samoan and Pasefika excellence shines brightly locally and abroad. As we set our course, we hold close the words: “E vave taunu’u le malaga pe a tatou alo va’a fa’atasi”—our destiny is within sight when we paddle our canoe together.

Together, we are the wave of change, the storytellers of our heritage, and the architects of our collective destiny.
